This station will be based on a scenario involving communication with a patient. This section of the interview lasts ten minutes.
You will be assessed independently by two interviewers scoring in each of the following domains: Technical Knowledge; Situational Awareness; Judgement Under Pressure; Communication – Information Gathering; Communication – Information Giving.
Scoring
This station is scored out of 50. Interviewers score you out of 10 across five domains:
- Technical Knowledge
- Situational Awareness
- Judgement Under Pressure
- Communication – Information Gathering
- Communication – Information Giving

Top Tips
- The Interactive Station tends to be what separates the very best candidates. Preparation can be challenging and it is recommended that you look back through your MRCS and medical school communication skills notes.
